Mission Statement

Our mission here at InGENEus Nutrition is to provide gene-targeted health that is specific for each person. This allows the ability to identify risks and use natural means to reduce them.

Introduction

DNA, the genetic coding substance of the body, is responsible for how the body looks and functions. Our genes account for the colour of our eyes and hair; tendency to develop diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer; our metabolism, and many other functions.

Advances in gene research have revealed that our body’s metabolism and tendency to develop diseases is the result of chemical variations in our genes, and that some of these genes can effectively be “switched on” or “switched off” (modulated). By modulating these genes not only can our metabolism be altered but also the chance of developing illnesses can be reduced.

DNA analysis is a valuable tool for identifying some of the genes posing potential risks. Instead of proposing that any one diet or program can work for all people, which is clearly not the case (as evidenced by the number of people who don’t respond to any given program/diet), DNA analysis assists in identifying individual needs and specifically targets those needs to provide a gene-specific solution for you as an individual.
